Downtown Charlotte Amalie

Our historic synagogue is located two blocks to the  north (away from the waterfront) from the main shopping district of Charlotte Amalie, up a hill.  Our part of the street, Crystal Gade, is widely known on island as %22Synagogue Hill.%22

All of the shopkeepers on Main Street
can give you directions.

It is just a short distance, and a few minutes walk from Main Street. But if you are coming from elsewhere on island, please know that there is no parking available immediately in front of the synagogue.  Access by taxi is recommended.

Off the courtyard, to the left of the main entrance as you enter our building, you will find ouGift Shop, which features fine, hand-crafted Judaica, synagogue souvenirs, and a variety of other items of interest.
While visiting, don’t miss the
Weibel Museum, just beyond the Sanctuary on the far side of the building.  There you can learn about the historic St. Thomas Jewish Community.
