Do you want to meet other parents and families with young kids?  Are you open to a new circle of friends, and a network of connections on island and beyond?

We remain in a transition period with younger families after the storms. But there is a mini-baby boom going on, with more namings, and more inquiries from families looking to move here than we have had in a number of years.

We expect the early childhood and Young Families aspects of our communal life to be newly energized, and a particular focus in the very near future.

We take full advantage of the environment around us.  Surf N’Seder at Magens Bay has been a popular Passover program for years, as has Tashlich (tossing bread crumbs in the water to throw out that which is stale and we want to get rid of) at the Beach on Rosh Hashanah.  There are Floating Minyans on boats, Havdalah at Ice Cream shops, services and hikes on St. John, and Shabbat Splash celebrations in the rabbi’s pool.

This is a great moment to step into the life of this Jewish community.  We welcome your energy, involvement, input and ideas.  Dream of an activity, a creative approach to Jewish learning, a way of combining sun and sand and Jewish life, and we can work together, to make it happen.

This is a congregation with a very long history.  But we look forward to your family being with us, and helping write the next chapter in that story.
